The sense of touch is second only to the vision when in comes to the amount of brain matter dedicated to it. Hence it is a natural recourse for visually impaired individuals to sense their world. In this project we demonstrate a smart wristband, that squeezes the users wrist depending on how close or far the object he points to is from him. It uses an ultrasound range finder and a simple motor to achieve this. With such a werable device, the user can sense the world around him and get a picture of it through pressure. A kind of a “Virtual Cane”
