ClockSense : An alarm clock turned into a medical diagnostic tool

For the millions of people who have not been exposed to modern technology, it can be intimidating and unapproachable at times. So when people introduce new devices meant to help such people, their presentation (form and interface) often pushes people away. ClockSense is an experiment to turn familiar everyday objects into interfaces for new devices, in our case a vital statistics measurement tool, that gives an indication of the persons general health by sensing data about pulse, oxygen saturation, body impedance and temperature.

This work was done in collaboration with the amazing folks at the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design and the Frugal Digital initiative by Vinay Venkatraman and Priya Mani. For more please check out  http://frugaldigital.org/archives/675
